our site. We have some wonderful prayer beads for you to enjoy.
Bodhisattva Beads are Juzu Beads. These Juzu Beads are used by people who
practice the Buddhism of Nichiren Daishonin. They are used during the
recitation of gongyo and daimoku. For more information about these terms,
please refer to the links and definitions on our FAQ page.
Bodhisattva Beads are handmade following all the traditional Nichiren Buddhist
doctrines. You’ll find our beads to be a fun and colorful interpretation of
these traditions. All are acceptable for your Buddhist practice.
What
is a Bodhisattva?
A Bodhisattva is one who aspires to Buddhahood and it also refers to the ninth
of the Ten Worlds. The ideal of the Bodhisattva is one who practices for oneself
and others. Compassion is the greatest characteristic of a Bodhisattva. A
Bodhisattva is said to postpone their own enlightenment in order to save others.
